The Seed Certification Service Centre (SCSC) is one of the five sub-units operating under the Seed Certification and Plant Protection Centre (SCPPC) of the Department of Agriculture, Sri Lanka. The SCSC ensures the quality and authenticity of seeds.
Under the Seed Act of Sri Lanka, farmers must obtain certification through an SCSC. Once registered, a farmer receives a Seed Certification Certificate valid for two years.
